Town Meetings in September for Park Board Comprehensive Plan

August 14, 2006 - The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is developing a comprehensive plan to map the course of the park system's future. The comprehensive plan will define priorities for the allocation of resources and delivery of services to create a park system alert to the needs of the community and integral to a thriving city.

In laying the groundwork for the comprehensive plan, park staff has been gathering and compiling information since fall 2005. Now the MPRB wants to hear from YOU!

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board wants to know:

* What the community values about the park system
* What the community sees as the system's strengths
* How the park system can best meet the recreation and open space needs of the community
