Environmental Grants Available for Minneapolis Neighborhood Groups

The Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) is excited to announce the release of its 2005 Stewardship Fund applications. The MWMO's Stewardship Fund was created to provide financial assistance to efforts that benefit water resources within the MWMO.  You can download all guidance and application materials from our Web site at http://www.mwmo.org/st fund.html.  Please contact Dan Kalmon at 612-673-2687 with any application questions or additional information requests.

The deadline for applications is October 15, 2004 -- so apply soon! If you would like to learn more, meet with Dan Kalmon on Thursday, September 16, 2004 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Crown Roller Mill, 105 Fifth Ave S. in the CPED Conference Room on the second floor. You may also call Dan at 612-673-2687, and he will be glad to come to meet with your neighborhood organization.

The MWMO Stewarship Fund Grant Program supports projects and programs that, among other things, protect water quality, reduce pollution, and promote public awareness of watershed management. Any organization or agency, such as a neighborhood organization, public and private schools, not-for-profit organizations, local government unit, or joint powers group is eligible to receive the funds. The MWMO Board has allocated $250,000 for the fund in 2005.
